April's Baby Shower
So April's baby shower is this weekend. She is having a boy and we've been planning for it for a whole week and half now-not very much time to plan a huge baby shower but by now, Sabrina and I are veteran party planners and we know it can be done. I like the no frills deal about this on and love that April has no input whatsoever (no sarcasm here) because we can do whatever we like. We decided on a baby animal theme and I'm anticipating 30 guests to show and hopefully with no kids. The event, once again will be at my place which I don't mind, it's just not the biggest space around but will do. It should be a fun time. We've got lots to do still. I'm excited and will post pictures soon.

Tonight
Thou and I are going to attempt a date night. First and foremost, we need babysitters!
My plan is to get some dinner somewhere Uptown and then catch, "Twelve Years A Slave" at the Uptown Theatre.
If not, staying in and saving some money doesn't sound so bad either.

Update
It's a chilly Saturday morning and I'm at work today. I probably should be working on cutting up animal shapes for April's baby shower but I'm catching up important world and celebrity news and of course, doing some blogging which I never find time to do at home.
So work has been really great and everyone is so nice here. The hours have been awesome to me and just the other morning, I got a phone call from Rich to tell me that the other Tuesday evening hours have opened up and if I'd like to take them. And hell yes I did! So I'm excited to say I've got another 5 hours added to my 31. The Wednesday every other week has also opened up but we are still waiting on word if Sara, the other gal will take it otherwise, it'll be mine!! So excited! =)
Also awhile back, I applied at Proffesional Radiology Services which is a temp agency that employs Rad Techs as fill-ins for local clinics that need a tech for the day. Paul the guy there, had mass emailed a few times about some last minute jobs and I've always replied right away but never got the opportunity probably due to my lack of experience. One morning I got a phone call at 7:30am about a job and took it right away. I had to be literally out the door in 30 minutes with 3 kids to be sent off to my mom. I could tell he was reluctant to give it to me but he said he did let them know I was new so to be nice. He said I'd be working the C-arm for pain management cases. I was so scared and nervous since it's been sooo long since I've worked a C-arm. Well needless to say, I did an awesome job and they said they'd love me back. Paul did call back again for another job but my poor Logie was so sick that I knew I had to stay home. Other than that, I've been busy applying to other hospitals for casual jobs so I can transition in but, I am actually really enjoying my hours here and now that I"m getting more, I'm not sure how well that would work as far as time goes. We'll see though.
The kids have been awesome. Halloween was just two nights ago and they had a great time. They celebrated two times; the Sunday before Halloween at their Uncles' and Aunties' church and on Halloween night. Ella was a pirate and a cat, Logie was a fireman and a football player, and Noah was a peas in the pod. The event at the church was a great time. It was indoors and there were so many games and candy and so many kids. Ella loved running around playing the games. They had a laser beam hall using streamers and she ran through it like a champ! But when it came to the ball-tossing games, she froze for some reason. Maybe I'll teach her to throw better so she won't feel so intimidated. My Logie..my poor Logie was so afraid of the Spiderman there. He was by his dad's side the entire time. My Pea pod guy was awesome as always of course.
Halloween night was a different story. It was so cold and windy, that we only lasted about an hour. We took the stroller with and all the kids wanted to do was sit in it. After awhile we had to almost drag them out of there to trick-or-treat. I think my Logie was miserable because he didn't even want to walk anymore and eventually knocked out in the stroller in the cold. Somewhere along the way, he lost one side of his shoes and he was walking with his sock which got drenched after awhile. We had no idea until we got home and took his shoes off and his little foot was freezing. My poor little guy. Love him so much.
Kids:
Ella-talking almost full sentences (very suprised that she knows a lot of words that she picked up along the way), uses the bathroom on occasions but only if you lead her to it (no pooping yet), very helpful, still crying a lot, starting to hate brushing her teeth =/, wakes up most mornings with a dry diaper, very content with "later" or "tomorrow" as answers for her requests (love it)
Logan-comprehends a lot of things, but unable to pronounce words effectively, very attached to me, loves his bottle, wakes up about 3x a night for milk, very happy most times, loves taking our hand to show us things that he wants, eats very good, still getting sick about every 3 weeks, starting to hit and pinch a lot especially Ella, loves movies especially Despicable Me and Croods
Noah-recognizes my voice and face, drinks about 6 oz of milk now, can almost balance to sit (give it another 3 weeks here), has a little cold right now, loves being held and talked to, we cannot leave him by himself otherwise he'll scream, still a sweet pea.
Thou and I-
We've been okay. I think the kids and money is putting a huge strain on our relationship. It's been stressful and frustrating lately especially since I'm working now too and there doesn't seem to be a huge improvement in our finances. I've been trying to come up with ways to fix cut our bills and expenses down but it hasn't been by much. I think my main concerns are my credit card bills. A few weeks ago I applied for a credit card through my credit union to get a lower APR but didn't qualify due to my lack of income. I'm not sure what else to do but find a co-signer.
For Thou's side of things we met up for an overdue meeting with a credit counseling company a few weeks back. They went through Thou's credit history with a fine tooth comb and marked everything that needed to be fixed and questioned. After everything, they said it would be easy to clean up his credit. After what seems like days, Thou decided to go with it. I had to do a litte convincing but so glad he obliged. I am so excited to see what's going to happen. Results are supposed to be drastically changed in 6 months but it could be up to 12 months as well. We both are very optimistic about this. I think it's probably one of the best decision we've ever made.
Feeling: Optimistic
