So many updates!
I finally finished out my program on August 3rd with several make up days in between due to the maternity leave with Noah. I took my boards on August 5th. The test was so hard and for some reason was worded all over the place. Before I hit the submit button, I seriously thought I was not going to pass, but sure enough I did! I passed with a 79 with a 75 to pass. Not bad for not studying at all. =( But what a relief to be done!
I started the job search several month before the program ended and received a bunch of rejects. I must applied close to over 30 jobs. I've only heard from a handful but I finally got an email sent to me from someone wanting an interview. I went to the interview and it wasn't interview at all. Patty and one of the X-ray techs there showed me and pretty much said this is where you'll be working. A few days after that, Patty verified all my references and checked on my ARRT status and I am now an employee of Northwest Family Physicians! I feel so fortunate to have been able to find a job right away. It's not at Unity at $25/hr but I get guaranteed hours at 20.50/hr which is awesome w/ awesome part-time hours.
The kids have been great! Noah is finally getting so big and he such a good boy. Today he is 2 months and 9 days. He's been sleeping pretty good throughout the night. I wake up 2 times a night max to check on him and to see if he's hungry. He started baby talking at 2 months and super smiley and alert. Ella and Logan adore him but maybe a little too much. They're constantly smothering him and he hates it. I love how Logan will just come up to Noah and rest his head on Noah's chest. So cute! And Ella loves to hold his arms and give him kisses.
Logan is getting so smart now too. He still won't talk but understand most things you say to him. He's tried to say words but they're usually really mumbled and his pronunciation isn't quite there yet. Logan has also been sick almost every other 3 weeks. He has this constant cough and congestion that just won't go away. I feel so bad for him especially when I hear him at night struggling to breathe through is nose with his bottle in his mouth. It's so sad. He seems to be getting better right now and hoping it stays that way. He's been super attached to me which I love but I find it hard to do anything around the house like that. I do try to keep him busy though. He has this movie that he continually watches everyday called, "The Wheels on the Bus" and will watch it with awe back to back everyday.
Ella is getting smarter and smarter everyday. She is basically at complete sentences now. She is so helpful all the time. She even knows to pick up after herself most times. She is such a mom to Logan. Always scolding him. She's still really defiant. "No" is still her favorite word and she's develop this habit of hitting Logan and me. Sometime I'm at wits end with her.. It's still a learning in progress for me. Potty training hasn't been really successful at all. She just won't go on the toilet..and I am so busy it's hard for me to take my time with her when the other 2 are always asking for attention too. Getting her off the bottle has also been a struggle, as with Logan. It's so easy for me with them on the bottle because they will just go off into their little corner if I ask them to with the bottle.
Needless to say, life has been crazy and super busy. I love my time with the kids but I will be starting training on Tuesday from 9am-4pm but my schedule will most be 4-9pm on weeknights and some weekends. I love my life though, and I wouldn't trade it for anything!
