Today

I've been feeling down all night.. It's 2:40am and I can't shake off this feeling. I feel depress and anxious all at the same time. I can partially blame the anxiety on that stupid coffee earlier tonight but the rest...not so sure. I need to get away from the stress. Maybe a good morning cardio workout will do the trick.

April's Baby Shower

So April's baby shower is this weekend. She is having a boy and we've been planning for it for a whole week and half now-not very much time to plan a huge baby shower but by now, Sabrina and I are veteran party planners and we know it can be done. I like the no frills deal about this on and love that April has no input whatsoever (no sarcasm here) because we can do whatever we like. We decided on a  baby animal theme and I'm anticipating 30 guests to show and hopefully with no kids. The event, once again will be at my place which I don't mind, it's just not the biggest space around but will do. It should be a fun time. We've got lots to do still. I'm excited and will post pictures soon.

Tonight

Thou and I are going to attempt a date night. First and foremost, we need babysitters!

My plan is to get some dinner somewhere Uptown and then catch, "Twelve Years A Slave" at the Uptown Theatre.

If not, staying in and saving some money doesn't sound so bad either.

Update

It's a chilly Saturday morning and I'm at work today. I probably should be working on cutting up animal shapes for April's baby shower but I'm catching up important world and celebrity news and of course, doing some blogging which I never find time to do at home.

So work has been really great and everyone is so nice here. The hours have been awesome to me and just the other morning, I got a phone call from Rich to tell me that the other Tuesday evening hours have opened up and if I'd like to take them. And hell yes I did! So I'm excited to say I've got another 5 hours added to my 31. The Wednesday every other week has also opened up but we are still waiting on word if Sara, the other gal will take it otherwise, it'll be mine!! So excited! =)

Also awhile back, I applied at Proffesional Radiology Services which is a temp agency that employs Rad Techs as fill-ins for local clinics that need a tech for the day. Paul the guy there, had mass emailed a few times about some last minute jobs and I've always replied right away but never got the opportunity probably due to my lack of experience. One morning I got a phone call at 7:30am about a job and took it right away. I had to be literally out the door in 30 minutes with 3 kids to be sent off to my mom. I could tell he was reluctant to give it to me but he said he did let them know I was new so to be nice. He said I'd be working the C-arm for pain management cases. I was so scared and nervous since it's been sooo long since I've worked a C-arm. Well needless to say, I did an awesome job and they said they'd love me back. Paul did call back again for another job but my poor Logie was so sick that I knew I had to stay home. Other than that, I've been busy applying to other hospitals for casual jobs so I can transition in but, I am actually really enjoying my hours here and now that I"m getting more, I'm not sure how well that would work as far as time goes. We'll see though.

The kids have been awesome. Halloween was just two nights ago and they had a great time. They celebrated two times; the Sunday before Halloween at their Uncles' and Aunties' church and on Halloween night. Ella was a pirate and a cat, Logie was a fireman and a football player, and Noah was a peas in the pod. The event at the church was a great time. It was indoors and there were so many games and candy and so many kids. Ella loved running around playing the games. They had a laser beam hall using streamers and she ran through it like a champ! But when it came to the ball-tossing games, she froze for some reason. Maybe I'll teach her to throw better so she won't feel so intimidated. My Logie..my poor Logie was so afraid of the Spiderman there. He was by his dad's side the entire time. My Pea pod guy was awesome as always of course.

Halloween night was a different story. It was so cold and windy, that we only lasted about an hour. We took the stroller with and all the kids wanted to do was sit in it. After awhile we had to almost drag them out of there to trick-or-treat. I think my Logie was miserable because he didn't even want to walk anymore and eventually knocked out in the stroller in the cold. Somewhere along the way, he lost one side of his shoes and he was walking with his sock which got drenched after awhile. We had no idea until we got home and took his shoes off and his little foot was freezing. My poor little guy. Love him so much.

Kids:

Ella-talking almost full sentences (very suprised that she knows a lot of words that she picked up along the way), uses the bathroom on occasions but only if you lead her to it (no pooping yet), very helpful, still crying a lot, starting to hate brushing her teeth =/, wakes up most mornings with a dry diaper, very content with "later" or "tomorrow" as answers for her requests (love it)
Logan-comprehends a lot of things, but unable to pronounce words effectively, very attached to me, loves his bottle, wakes up about 3x a night for milk, very happy most times, loves taking our hand to show us things that he wants, eats very good, still getting sick about every 3 weeks, starting to hit and pinch a lot especially Ella, loves movies especially Despicable Me and Croods
Noah-recognizes my voice and face, drinks about 6 oz of milk now, can almost balance to sit (give it another 3 weeks here), has a little cold right now, loves being held and talked to, we cannot leave him by himself otherwise he'll scream, still a sweet pea.

Thou and I-
We've been okay. I think the kids and money is putting a huge strain on our relationship. It's been stressful and frustrating lately especially since I'm working now too and there doesn't seem to be a huge improvement in our finances. I've been trying to come up with ways to fix cut our bills and expenses down but it hasn't been by much. I think my main concerns are my credit card bills. A few weeks ago I applied for a credit card through my credit union to get a lower APR but didn't qualify due to my lack of income. I'm not sure what else to do but find a co-signer.

For Thou's side of things we met up for an overdue meeting with a credit counseling company a few weeks back. They went through Thou's credit history with a fine tooth comb and marked everything that needed to be fixed and questioned. After everything, they said it would be easy to clean up his credit. After what seems like days, Thou decided to go with it. I had to do a litte convincing but so glad he obliged. I am so excited to see what's going to happen. Results are supposed to be drastically changed in 6 months but it could be up to 12 months as well. We both are very optimistic about this. I think it's probably one of the best decision we've ever made.

Feeling: Optimistic

FINISHED! And officially Seng Vang, R.T. (R)(ARRT)

So many updates!

I finally finished out my program on August 3rd with several make up days in between due to the maternity leave with Noah. I took my boards on August 5th. The test was so hard and for some reason was worded all over the place. Before I hit the submit button, I seriously thought I was not going to pass, but sure enough I did! I passed with a 79 with a 75 to pass. Not bad for not studying at all. =( But what a relief to be done!

I started the job search several month before the program ended and received a bunch of rejects. I must applied close to over 30 jobs. I've only heard from a handful but I finally got an email sent to me from someone wanting an interview. I went to the interview and it wasn't interview at all. Patty and one of the X-ray techs there showed me and pretty much said this is where you'll be working. A few days after that, Patty verified all my references and checked on my ARRT status and I am now an employee of Northwest Family Physicians! I feel so fortunate to have been able to find a job right away. It's not at Unity at $25/hr but I get guaranteed hours at 20.50/hr which is awesome w/ awesome part-time hours.

The kids have been great! Noah is finally getting so big and he such a good boy. Today he is 2 months and 9 days. He's been sleeping pretty good throughout the night. I wake up 2 times a night max to check on him and to see if he's hungry. He started baby talking at 2 months and super smiley and alert. Ella and Logan adore him but maybe a little too much. They're constantly smothering him and he hates it. I love how Logan will just come up to Noah and rest his head on Noah's chest. So cute! And Ella loves to hold his arms and give him kisses.

Logan is getting so smart now too. He still won't talk but understand most things you say to him. He's tried to say words but they're usually really mumbled and his pronunciation isn't quite there yet. Logan has also been sick almost every other 3 weeks. He has this constant cough and congestion that just won't go away. I feel so bad for him especially when I hear him at night struggling to breathe through is nose with his bottle in his mouth. It's so sad. He seems to be getting better right now and hoping it stays that way. He's been super attached to me which I love but I find it hard to do anything around the house like that. I do try to keep him busy though. He has this movie that he continually watches everyday called, "The Wheels on the Bus" and will watch it with awe back to back everyday.

Ella is getting smarter and smarter everyday. She is basically at complete sentences now. She is so helpful all the time. She even knows to pick up after herself most times. She is such a mom to Logan. Always scolding him. She's still really defiant. "No" is still her favorite word and she's develop this habit of hitting Logan and me. Sometime I'm at wits end with her.. It's still a learning in progress for me. Potty training hasn't been really successful at all. She just won't go on the toilet..and I am so busy it's hard for me to take my time with her when the other 2 are always asking for attention too. Getting her off the bottle has also been a struggle, as with Logan. It's so easy for me with them on the bottle because they will just go off into their little corner if I ask them to with the bottle.

Needless to say, life has been crazy and super busy. I love my time with the kids but I will be starting training on Tuesday from 9am-4pm but my schedule will most be 4-9pm on weeknights and some weekends. I love my life though, and I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Baby updates!

I'm at the hospital right at this moment blogging this. I guess baby is going to be coming sooner than I last thought. Last night, I felt a small leakage and called the nurse. They told me it would probably keep coming if it was amniotic fluid. Nothing else occured overnight but I felt more this morning and decided to come in. The nurse took a swab and sure enough, it was amniotic fluid. So here I am. There are so many thoughts running through my mind right now; Logie being super sick at my mom's, Ella going over to Nok's to stay with the girls, the boys being home alone, and if I'm going to have an induction of labor or not. I'm also super scared about the pain again! I can't even think about it.. I"m so eager to meet my little Noah. I wished I had done the 4D imaging sooner cause I have absolutely no idea how this little guy is going to look like!

Updates!

Today I am 2 days from being 40 weeks pregnant! The journey is almost over but unfortunately I just don't know when.. I've had a few contractions here and there but nothing definitive yet. Every contractions I've gotten have tapered off.

This pregnancy has been by far the most emotional and draining. Having two young kids while pregnant is no joke and I am so happy that this is almost over!

Logie's Past Updates

Jan 11, 2013
Logie at 8 months:
  • Makes fire with his feet since he's been 4-6 months old
  • Crawls super fast and is able to pull himself up at 7 months
  • Follows big sister Ella everywhere
  • My momma's boy
  • Eating everything in site
  • At 7 months he picked up a bead that Ella took off a stocking and ate it. Dad found it in his diaper about a week later in two pieces. (strong stomach!)
  • Now refuses to sleep in the crib and sleeps next to us.
Jan 20, 2013
It's amazing to see how much Logie adores Ella. He follows her everywhere and is always where she is. Right this moment her every move around the room makes him so happy. If only he was able to move as fast as she was. It's amazing to see this bond between them. Another update on him is that he is trying to stand by himself. The other day as he was holding onto me, he let go and was able to stand by himself for a few seconds.

Ella is starting to understand so much now too! When I ask her to do something, she's able to comprehend what I want. There are usually some trials and error but she just gets it. That kid is something else. She is so smart. I can't wait to see how she turns out.

Jan 26, 2013
Logie is so curious nowadays. The other night his bottle fell of the edge of the bed and he crawled over to see where it went. I picked it up but he was still there looking over the edge of the bed. He's also able to get get off the sofa now too. It's cute seeing his little legs dangle off before scooting off the sofa.

Ella is getting too smart for her own good. Her favorite word is "no" and "mine." She's super defiant with almost everything that you ask of her. Her one time favorite thing of throwing things away is now her least favorite thing to do. What am I going to do with this girl.

Feb 14, 2013
Logie at 9 months
Ella at 22 months

Logie recognizes the Itsby Bitsy Spider song now. It was just about as amazing as the time I realized that Ella knew the lines to one of the YouTube songs she listened to. Anyway, Logie does the whole hand gesture and everything. It's just about the cutest thing I have ever seen. Such a smart boy. He is also starting to get over a horrible stomach bug that's plagued him with diarrhea and puking. Ella also has it and has gotten poop in almost every room in the house. The diarrhea is horrendous. Thank goodness both are feeling better and their appetites are returning.

March 21, 2013
This coming Friday I will be exactly 30 weeks. This pregnancy has been pretty smooth so far. Baby's been pretty active especially at night. He's not too aggressive yet but no doubt will get there. Both Logie and Ella have been growing so fast. Ella's been learning really fast and picking up everything we say and do so we have to be extra careful about what we do and say around her. She's also still very defiant. It's frustrating but I've heard about the terrible 2's and we can only hope it'll past by fast! Logie has been super sweet and super attached to us. He's just our happy little baby. Today he'll be 9 months and 3 weeks. He's not walking yet but stand on his own now. He is still super curious and still eating stuff off the ground constantly. He has 3 teeth and weighs 20lbs.

Depressed.

Today has been such a long day and this pregnancy is just taking so long. I cannot wait to pop this baby out and tie my tubes forever. I'm so done with nothing fitting over my belly, constantly using the bathroom, kicks and punches to the ribs, painful hips and pelvis, not being able to lay on my tummy, and the list goes on and on. Please hurry, baby Noah!
